David Holmes

David delivered two stellar sets last year, and he’s joining us again to open the festival on Thursday night. Expect everything from experimental jazz to psychedelic sounds, proto techno and everything in between! He is best known these days as a composer for film and TV, having worked on many Steven Soderbergh projects over the last 25 years and the hit series Killing Eve, among many other credits. But he came up as a DJ during ’90s rave and and has made solo albums, often featuring famous guest vocalists, throughout his career, and he’s reinvigorated his pop/rock lately. For the past few years he’s led noir pop group Unloved, who featured prominently on the soundtrack of Killing Eve (which he curated and scored); he’s recently released 'Blind on a Galloping Horse' - his first solo album in 15 years, which features vocalist Raven Violet and some of his most fiery, socially conscious songs ever. His monthly radio show on NTS is not to be missed.
